Hi, Eternally Chanel visitors! First of all, I’m sorry for the late notice but Eternally Chanel is taking a 3-day break, from March 31 to April 2. There are no excuses, I’m just a little busy at the moment.

FREYJA (pronounced fray●ya), a Malaysian-based clothing brand, launched Reset collection on March 23. A breath of fresh yet hot air, Reset was teased on Instagram as a “system reboot” and “more than a game”. The collection is a bold, playful, stylish, comfortable fashion statement – to put it plainly, Reset is everything Instabaddies always wear.

Vintage Black Dresses

There’s nothing quite like black dresses. They’re more than a piece of clothing – they hold symbolic values throughout the history of fashion. In color psychology, black symbolizes mystery, power, elegance, and sophistication; and this concept is clearly seen in Breakfast at Tiffany’s (1961) and other films.

Contemporary dresses are outstanding, but nothing compares to the charm of vintage black dresses. When styled right, you could turn heads whenever you’re wearing them.

Issa Hesso Spring 2021 Collection

To be able to design good clothes is one thing, but to be able to design extraordinary clothes is another (that is very much needed in the glamorous world of high fashion). A Lebanese designer, Issa Hesso, may be so underrated now, but his exquisite craftmanship may lead him to go further in his career.

Hesso named his spring 2021 collection THE REBIRTH; and although it’s not clarified what is the meaning behind THE REBIRTH, one of his Instagram posts is a picture of a quote, that goes: “She will rise from the ashes of her mistakes like a bird, and become legend”. It’s best to assume the quote describes his spring 2021 collection – a collection that is meant to empower women by ‘rebirth’ of strength, actions, and mindset.

When I look at THE REBIRTH, I see nothing more than a perfect, brilliant, dramatic portrayal of bloodthirsty warrior queens. I see a glimpse of vengeance, an unbending pride, the power and the victory. I’ll be disappointed if Hesso never gets hired to do the costumes for fantasy movies or shows. He’s so talented and I’m looking forward to the day he gets more acclamation.

LANE JT Spring 2021 Collection

I’ve always loved good ol’ sophisticated styles (all thanks to Audrey Hepburn!). LANE JT has the sophistication I’m talking about, and the timelessness, that (I’m not ashamed to say) give them the potential to be the next Chanel.

For spring 2021, LANE JT focuses on being classy, combining modern fashion with 1950s elegant fashion – while being appealing to both young and middle-aged women (and quite possibly older women too).
