Happy Friday!

As you know, the combination of PANTONE 17-5104 Ultimate Gray + PANTONE 13-0647 Illuminating is the theme of this Eid (and generally, the whole 2021).

So, there you go – if you have no idea on what color to wear this Eid, wear Ultimate Gray and Illuminating. You may also tell your family, close friends, or beloved ones to match up one another. If you have already planned something else, it’s okay, stick with your plans. Theme isn’t necessarily a rule.
Anyway, here are my predictions of Eid 2021 fashion trends (in Malaysia):
Also here’s a reminder that my predictions may be inaccurate, and I apologize in advance. They’re solely based on current trends, my observations of Instagram boutiques, and my interpretations of Malaysian fashion designers’ creations.
If you want to start shopping, well, happy shopping! Just don’t forget your responsibilities in Ramadan, okay?
Okay, I’m not saying I want the color PINK to take over Eid al-Fitr – you know what, never mind, that’s exactly what I’m saying. I’m absolutely aware that the combination of PANTONE 17-5104 Ultimate Gray + PANTONE 13-0647 Illuminating is (predicted to be) the theme of Eid al-Fitr this year, and I love it, and I know the combination is faultless. But at the same time… I kind of wish pink would happen. Well, now that I think of it, it’s never wrong to wear pink despite the theme.
If you’re thinking of getting dressed in pink this Eid, here are a few of pink baju raya from a few of Malaysian designers whose name you should know if you’re Malaysian too:
Ramadan Mubarak! Yes, that’s right – it’s now Ramadan, which is the holy month of fasting, prayer, reflection and community for Muslims all over the world (including me, of course)! The fact that we’re blessed to experience Ramadan again this year is totally amazing, even though it doesn’t feel the same as before pandemic.
You will still get contents from Eternally Chanel, but they’re different from my usual contents. I shall mainly post contents for the upcoming Eid al-Fitr (which as you know, the religious holiday celebrated by Muslims worldwide that marks the end of the month-long dawn-to-sunset fasting of Ramadan). The contents includes reviews of Malaysian designer’s Eid collections, which are planned to be published every Tuesday of the month under the category Reviews Tuesdays. So yes, do visit Eternally Chanel frequently to not miss out on anything!
Affordable clothes, expensive sunglasses, bags and shoes – and sometimes, vice versa. Sounds wrong? Yet it’s actually something you have to keep in mind, and it makes sense too. The price doesn’t always matter but still has to be taken into consideration. One, it’s easily detectable when you wear all cheap outfit because of the material and the quality. Two, it looks decent and nothing special when you wear all affordable outfit – nothing stands out. But when you wear the right combination of affordable clothes and expensive sunglasses, bags and shoes (or vice versa), you’re undoubtedly a person with a good sense of style; you look like you actually know what you’re doing, and you look amazing. You don’t have to spend a lot of money on fashion items you’d probably never wear again, you just have to invest on fashion items you can wear again and again.
The next thing you have to keep in mind is that you don’t always need expensive jewelry (and other accessories). But if you still prefer expensive jewelry because it feels better and doesn’t irritate your skin, that’s okay too, there’s nothing wrong with it. However, there are many jewelers that sell inexpensive good-quality jewelry. The value of your jewelry really won’t affect your appearance when you wear them with the suitable outfits, so don’t think too much about it.
In the future, I will cover more topics related to this rule, so be sure to come back to Eternally Chanel often.
Also, fun fact! Remember Cher’s virtual closet from Clueless? Well, there are apps that serve the same purposes as Cher’s virtual closet, but better! The one that I currently I use is Combyne, and it’s so fun! You can combine clothes, accessories, and more to create an outfit based on your own taste in fashion. You can also discover other users’ outfits and like them, aside from communicating via chats, and you can be follow other users and get followers too. There are also challenges you can participate in.
I also use ShopLook website! It’s basically no different than Combyne, but one of the features it has that Combyne doesn’t have is that it tells you the price, name, and brand of each fashion item, and also will direct you to the website where the item is sold when you choose to shop. So if you do want to plan the right combination(s) of outfits, and want to buy new items, use ShopLook. Have fun!
I’m not saying I would do anything for Juliette dress from SOLYLUNA, but at the same time, I think I would…

That’s it. That’s the post.
“Launched in 2010, Hutz Fashion is a self manufactured homegrown fashion label based in Malaysia. We aspire to inspire woman like you, by bringing you timeless yet effortlessly chic fashion apparels with quality at affordable prices. All apparels are self-manufactured by Hutz Fashion, locally. With a team that shares the same passion from designing, pattern making, producing, product shooting to retailing. We do it all by ourselves so to be reassured that every progress is up to our expectation and to learn and grow our brand closely along the journey.” – information is 100% from Hutz Fashion website.
On April 6, Hutz Fashion launched a new collection named Refined Elegance. I don’t think I have much to say about them? They’re lovely and breathable. The shades of the colors are cute. Honestly I believe they’re perfect for spring too. Also, they seem to be suitable for a lot of events and occasions, like a date, parties, business events, coffees with yourself, etc. Although I must advise you to wear bold accessories if you buy and wear something from this collection, because the colors are too soft – unless you actually want to look soft, simple, and effortlessly adorable.

You can see the rest of the collection on the official website of Hutz Fashion.

“That Familiarity Is Everything”
Dr. Nadia Syamila speaks on her career, business, Netflix’s Bridgerton, and Eid al-Fitr.
Pearl and Daisies’ first appearance on Eternally Chanel was on Friday, March 26, 2021. After the feature, we had exchanged online interactions mainly via Instagram; and on March 29, after hitting 12K total views in less than a month, I proposed an interview with Dr. Nadia Syamila, an amiable but rather private person – and legitimately the ultimate owner of Pearl and Daisies. The proposal was accepted; hence the full interview is here!
Eternally Chanel: I’m aware that you’re a medical doctor, so when and how did you come up with the idea of starting a business?
Dr. Nadia Syamila: Aww, thank you for your question. Yes, I am a medical doctor. When I first graduated from my studies in RCSI (the Royal College of Surgeons), around last April, it was actually the start of heavy pandemic of Covid-19 in Malaysia. Hence at that time, I was just resting with my family for three months. Then, I thought to myself: Before starting the housemanship, I want to do something especially because I don’t want my passion into medical turns into something that I must do for the salary, or the necessity of having money. So the solution is, of course, having a side hustle. I started Pearl and Daisies in July last year.
EC: Does your business affect your job in any way?
DNS: Yes. Since I have a business now, it’s less heavy of a struggle to have more money from my job as a doctor. I now see my career as something I love to do instead of only a “job”. At the same time, I love my business no less – it’s because the business revolves around Korean styles, and I love Korean styles due to the K-dramas that I watched especially during the time I was in Ireland. Being alone in Ireland, away from my beloved and my family, taught me that mental health is essential. K-dramas somehow really help my mental health (apart from praying and reciting the Quran as a Muslim).
EC: What is the biggest challenge you has faced within the 9 months of having a business?
DNS: The biggest challenge would be the management of the company. Examples: setting up trusted team members, and discussing the standard of procedure in handling customers, packaging, sending out parcels, etc., with them. A lot of people think when they have a company, they should only focus on making sales, when in reality, management is crucial to sustain a company. Nevertheless, I think once we overcome management issues, it (the company/business) will work smoothly afterward.
EC: It’s not easy to be a businesswoman, isn’t it? I’m glad your business is still strong. Moving on to the next question: You recruit dropshippers for your business – what do they do? Do they just promote your business and find customers, or do they have bigger responsibilities?
DNS: As dropship members, they just promote our dresses and gain commission out of their sales. We still recruit dropship members. (If you’re interested, click this link)
EC: Which one of Pearl and Daisies collections is your favorite, and why?
DNS: To be honest, I love all of them! All of them have different stories to be told and that’s why we put so much effort to come up with the names of the newly released items. I give you an example:

DNS: These dresses named That Familiarity Is Everything are inspired by the concept of being familiar with “the person” in your life, even when the love has faded – and that is deep actually.
EC: Pearl and Daisies has a collection named the Bridgerton series, inspired by Netflix’s Bridgerton. What do you like the most about the collection?
DNS: Yes, (we do have the collection), and actually we don’t recommend Bridgerton to men at all because the aurah exposed is mainstream and I do think there’s more pornography than love; but we do recommend women to simply enjoy the show with unnecessary parts skipped. The reason why we don’t really put restriction to women because there is less aurah for women to see than there is for men. But, truly, what matters to us when we released the collection is the fact that the dresses worn in the show were pretty amazing! And that’s what inspired us for the Bridgerton series. I like Yes Your Grace (from the collection) the most.
EC: Do you design the clothes yourself?
DNS: We have premium items and bridal collection, you can check on our website. All premium items are designed by me and my designer (including some ideas from team Pearl and Daisies. For other items, we do have our own supplier, mostly designed in Korea.
EC: We’re nearing the end of the interview, so a few more questions left. What is Pearl and Daisies’ plan for Eid al-Fitr? Are you planning to release new collections soon?

DNS: Aww those are interesting questions. Actually we do want to release some kurung for Eid and we’re in preparation of doing so; however, we’re also focusing on Ramadan edition first at the moment which are the premium pleated shawls especially for all Muslimahs out there. For Eid, we do think that – if, let’s say we don’t release Premium kurung, designed by our own (designers), we would still release kurung from our supplier or vendor, such as the When Fantasy Meet Traditional collection.
EC: Dr., have you ever imagined yourself as a well-known businesswoman in Malaysia?
DNS: Absolutely not, to be honest, I don’t even think of venturing myself into any business industry as I am hardcore passionate in medicine. But Alhamdulillah, this is now officially my second job. A lot of people are holding on to our business as well and hence it’s not really about me anymore; it’s about supporting people who currently hold on and dear to Pearl and Daisies.
EC: That’s so sweet! Any last message for Eternally Chanel fans?
DNS: For Eternally Chanel fans (and the writer): We at Pearl and Daisies wish all of you every goodness that this world and the hereafter have to offer, and we will pray that everyone will be in happiness and in awe of whatever you do. Love what you do and you’ll find the ease toward everything.
Pearl and Daisies, the clothing line that defines our personality with elegance and gracefulness
May Allah ease everyone who loves each other sincerely because of Him in everything.
