Outfit #2

I’m sorry, I couldn’t find the same bag, skirt, and hijab she wore. I however found similar bag and hijab in different colors – the same cannot be said for the skirt.

The girl is @frhanaaaa_ on Instagram.

According to the girl, these were where she got her outfit from:

  1. Her hijab – Farhana Scarves
  2. Her sweatshirt – H&M
  3. Her skirt – Uniqlo
  4. Her boots – H&M
  5. Her bag – Shopee

Happy weekend!

Cute Things to Do This Eid

  1. Wake up early (if you want to) and wake your family members up.
  2. After showering, put on your best clothes and spray your best perfume.
  3. Compliment yourself and others. Tell yourself how beautiful and glowing you are, tell yourself how pretty your clothes are, and tell others nice things about them.
  4. Take a lot of pictures and videos with your loved ones.
  5. Play Eid songs and sing along! Bonus point if you can get your loved ones to join you.
  6. Watch television with your whole family.
  7. Be playful and make harmless jokes about one another.
  8. Exchange duit raya with one another.
  9. If there are little kids, spend at least some time with them.
  10. Send your greetings to your friends online.
  11. Be careful if you want to visit people! Remember, COVID-19 is still a threat.
  12. Eat whatever you want! (I’m so sorry if you struggle with eating disorder, body dysmorphia, or anything else, and I won’t force you to do things you aren’t comfortable to do, I want you to know that your pain and suffering are valid. You deserve every love and happiness in the world. All body types and sizes are beautiful, including yours. You are an amazing human being, I’m so proud of you! The society and the media lied to you when they told you bad things about your body. There’s no such thing as perfect body, I wish everyone understands that and get rid of the harmful, unrealistic beauty standards. I’m so sorry if we’ve failed you. I wish I could hug you right now.)

Hi! Ibadat are not mentioned in the list because I’m not sure if it’s proper or not to place ibadat among “cute things”. I mean, ibadat are religious and holy so I really don’t know. Nevertheless, please know that as fun as Eid can be, we must never forget our duty as Muslims!

Pleated Shawls and Satin/Silk Scarves Are in Style, and Will Continue to Be Very Popular During Eid

Pleats are generally widely applied and accepted in many designs of clothes, whether it be Eid-related or not. A number of fashion designers such as Rico Rinaldi and Rizman Ruzaini incorporated pleats in their collections of baju raya 2021. But even before those designers introduced their pleated creations, pleats are already popular and fashionable because of a wave of Korean fashion – you can see Malaysian girls wearing pleated skirts, pleated blouses etc.

The first picture is from Pinterest and the second one is from Shopee

Pleated shawls have been around for quite a while, but are only getting massive recognition since last year (that was when a lot of people took a liking to pleated shawls from various hijab businesses including dUCk, Naelofar, TudungPeople, Poplook, and XO Hijab). This year, pleated shawls are very much still in style, many hijab businesses still sell and promote them especially since Eid gets near and nearer, so that explains why I think pleated shawls will possibly be in Eid 2021 fashion trend.

Also, pleated shawls are so easy to style.

Next, satin/silk scarves. They’re my favorites! I always feel the prettiest (and rich) wearing anything satin. I actually believe they’ve been in style for many years now and never actually became irrelevant, so it definitely makes sense if they stay during Eid 2021. All types of satin/silk scarves: plain and printed, shawl and bawal are pretty and popular, but if I have to bet which of them will have the biggest influence on Eid fashion this year, I’d put my money on plain satin/silk shawls.

Once again, my predictions may be inaccurate, and I apologize in advance. Do know that you can wear whatever else you want without following the trend. Have fun!

I Need This. Seriously.

I was just searching for pink baju raya when I found one of the kurung from ALIA X SCHA ALYAHYA EID 2020. Now I can’t stop wanting it. Help.

Reviewing ALIA B. Eid 2021 Collection

Here we go.

Every year (this year included), Malaysian well-known fashion designers proudly release their wearable creations for the celebration of Eid al-Fitr – and of course, Alia Bastamam is one of those designers. Interestingly, this year, Alia Bastamam’s “baby brand” ALIA B. collaborated with Neelofa’s fashion brand, Naelofar, to merge both their charm and bring the combination into existence.

A fresh movement of ideas, the Essence of Art Nouveau inspires this ALIA B. X NAELOFAR collaborative collection. Brought on nature’s splendor, the strength of femininity and cultural vibrance – all tied together by modern lines and sophisticated modesty.

Now, where do I start?

Okay, so first and foremost, I LOVE THIS COLLECTION, I DO. I think it’s safe for me to say that I value every aspect of this collection: the designs, the silhouettes, the draperies, the colors, the shades of the colors, simply everything. ALIA B. X NAELOFAR radiates rich fashion, and I believe that’s what makes it so attractive.

The baju-baju raya are graceful, and I’m sure it’s because of the materials used. Even the plain ones look stylishly alive; and the detailed ones, obviously, look amazingly desirable.

I can’t find the flaws at all, except the lack of traditional effects (but that’s not actually a flaw). Get what I mean? This collection looks really modern. Of course that’s not a bad thing – I was just pointing that out. Honestly, the modernity does make sense; it appeals to young women.

In conclusion… Eternally Chanel rates ALIA B. X NAELOFAR Raya ’21 a solid 10/10.

Pay More Attention to the Intention of Your Outfit

Intention serves as the base of everyone’s outfits. You can’t have a nice thing without the base – that’s the same rule in fashion and style. Check your intention every time you put on an outfit – is your outfit of the day meant to show off your creativity, or is it meant to make you look professional, or anything else.

It’s important to know that by understanding your own intentions, you can plan all your outfits carefully, smoothly. Your fingers will cooperate with your minds as you pick and combine your clothes, accessories, everything – because obviously, you’re aware of what you need to fulfill the intentions.

Here are three examples to help you understand:

  • Intention: Shopping with the girls
  • Intention: Looking fanciable on a date night

  • Intention: Getting revenge on your ex-boyfriend/the mean girls

Chanel FW 19/20 Ready-to-Wear Show

The last runway show created by Karl Lagerfeld, Chanel’s longtime creative director, Chanel Fall-Winter 19/20 Ready-to-Wear was presented at the Grand Palais in Paris in March 2019, less than a month after the phenomenal man died February 19, 2019. Bittersweet and emotional, the show that honored Lagerfeld’s hard work and colossal talent as he spent more than 30 years of his life carrying on Chanel’s legacy like no other, was opened by Cara Delevingne, one of his favorite models and a dear friend to him.

Long live the House of Chanel.
