Tiffany & Co.’s designer dies at 80

Elsa Peretti, a famous Italian-born designer who worked for Tiffany & Co. since 1974, has died at the age of 80. Her creations were works of art and vision – her biomorphic designs inspired by bone fragments and pebbles brought revolution to the jewelry industry; her jewelry and design pieces for Tiffany & Co. are included in the 20th century collection of the British Museum, the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston and the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. Even in 2020 and 2021, her collections remain iconic and sensuous under Tiffany & Co. label.

My sincerest condolences to Elsa Peretti’s family, friends, and everyone who’s pained by her passing. She’s gone – but never forgotten. May Tiffany & Co. continue producing jewelry she designed.
